Vendor Conduct Policy

The Cherokee Trail High School Craft Fair is a family-friendly fundraising event hosted by the PTCO to support our school community and enhance educational opportunities for students. To ensure a positive experience for attendees, vendors, and volunteers, all participants must comply with the following policies.

1. Purpose of the Event

The Craft Fair:

  • Showcases handmade goods, small businesses, and community-oriented services

  • Creates an enjoyable, welcoming shopping experience for all ages

  • Raises funds to support teacher grants and school programs

Vendors whose primary purpose does not align with this mission may not be approved.

2. Prohibited Content & Activities

Because this event is held on a school campus, the following are not permitted:

  • Political, advocacy, or lobbying activities, including:

    • Campaigning for or against political candidates, ballot initiatives, or legislation

    • Collecting signatures, petitions, or pledges related to political or policy issues

    • Distributing politically affiliated materials or messaging

  • Alcohol, drugs, or drug-related products, including paraphernalia

  • Firearms, weapons, or weapon-related items of any kind

  • Hate speech, discriminatory messaging, or content inappropriate for a school setting

  • All CCSD policies and building use regulations apply

3. Solicitation & Engagement Guidelines

To maintain a comfortable and enjoyable environment for shoppers:

  • Vendors may not engage in aggressive or disruptive solicitation

  • Attendees must not feel pressured to:

    • Sign documents, petitions, or pledges

    • Provide personal contact information

    • Participate in causes or movements

Acceptable engagement includes:

  • Sharing information passively (brochures, signage, conversations when invited)

  • Offering optional sign-ups for community services (e.g., fitness programs, volunteer opportunities, foster care information) when participation is clearly voluntary and non-political

The PTCO reserves the right to address or stop any activity which detracts from the event experience.

4. Conduct Expectations

All vendors and representatives are expected to:

  • Interact with attendees in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner

  • Respect personal boundaries and foot traffic flow

  • Follow all school and PTCO instructions during the event

Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.

5. Approval & Enforcement

  • The PTCO reserves the right to approve or deny vendors at its sole discretion

  • Approval may be revoked if activities during the event violate policy

  • These guidelines apply equally to all vendors and community groups

6. Questions & Clarification

If you are unsure whether your organization or activities fall within these guidelines, we encourage you to contact us prior to applying. We are happy to help ensure a great fit for everyone involved.
